How to Complete the Hanged Man GPS Quest in Sons of the Forest

Hanged Man GPS is a strange quest in Sons of the Forest and can take a while to complete. You can follow the location on the map, but most likely you won’t find anything. And there will be no sense in digging either. But when you look at the mountain, you will find the body and the place where the signal came from. But here you definitely can’t climb the mountain along the ledges, as in many other games. So, here is how you can complete the Hanged Man quest and get his GPS locator in Sons of the Forest.

You need to climb the mountain and free the hanged man to get the GPS in order to complete this quest. Although it doesn’t seem like a quest, because the end goal is basically to collect the GPS tracker from the body. Here is what you need to do for this:

  1. Follow the purple GPS location on the map to get to the Hanged Man.
  2. If you go from below, you will see a body hanging on the edge of a cliff.
  3. Turn right in front of it and follow the path to climb the mountain.
  4. Approach the rock and you will find a rope tied to a boulder. Here you can also find a rope, a bottle of vodka and energy bars.
  5. Equip a tactical or fire ax and cut the rope.
  6. The body will fall.
  7. Go back to the route you took to get here. There doesn’t seem to be a slope that leads straight down, so a sled won’t come in handy.
  8. Once here, you can pick up the GPS tracker from the body to complete the quest. You can also find another bottle of vodka on the body.
