Over the weekend, the palera1n team released a major update to their bootloader exploit-based jailbreak tool for A9-A11 devices running iOS 15.0-16.3. full overwrite based on C.
But as you would expect from such a big update, soon the palera1n team will release follow-up updates with bug fixes and last minute improvements.
The second beta version of Palera1n-c included a fix to allow fakeFS to be created on 16GB devices running iOS 15 by adding -B -f to the command. Subsequently, the third beta version of palera1n-c added the following changes:
– Palara1n-ios rights fix – A8(X) fakeFS fix – bindFS (experimental, may not work with iOS 16) (this was available in beta 2, just not announced until beta 3) Like it, but size of
-B, --setup-fakefs-partialfakeFS-c, --setup-fakefscreated smaller due to the presence of unwritable parts in rarely recorded paths. (good for 16GB devices) (meaning settings that would be stored in bindFS read-only directories like /System/Library/Fonts won’t work)
Rewritten in C, the palera1n jailbreak promises improved reliability, performance, and jailbreak speed. These updates are the start of how to make palera1n more user-friendly, but it’s worth noting that currently, palera1n is still considered a developer-focused jailbreak tool.
The latest version of palera1n-c is available from the project’s GitHub page and is only for older phones like the iPhone X and older.
