The Angry Birds franchise, which began in 2009, continues to grow. More than 10 years and more than 20 games later, the popularity of the game shows no signs of abating – and neither does its fan base. We think it’s time to revisit old (and new) friends in this guide to our favorite Angry Birds characters.
The main characters of the Angry Birds franchise
We will divide the list into two parts: birds and pigs.
Birds
- Red is the bird that started the flock and is the leader of the birds. He is known for two things: his temper and his hatred of pigs.
- Chuck (Yellow Bird) – The fastest bird in the flock, Chuck cannot sit still for long.
- The Blues (Jay, Jake and Jim) were united in their love for the blues until they decided to part ways. They remained faithful to each other until the last days of their lives.
- Matilda (White Bird) is one of the most caring birds in the flock. She shows no mercy to the pigs and launches eggs at them with deadly precision.
- Bomba (Black Bird) – Explosive nature and demeanor Bomb sow fear wherever he flies.
- Hal (Green Bird) – Can use his massive beak to curve this trajectory through the air like a boomerang.
- Terence (Big Red Bird) – This absolute unit can destroy any obstacle in its path, being the quietest and most reserved member of the group, a true gentle giant.
- Bubbles (Orange Bird) – Don’t let his tiny stature fool you, as Bubbles can inflate himself twice. First appearing in Angry Birds Seasons, he is now a regular on the bird team.
- Stella. Her cheerful nature was a great addition to the team when she made her debut in Angry Birds Seasons.
- Tony (Great Bluebird) – Terrence’s cousin from Finland not only looks just like him, but can also stand up to pigs.
- Silver is the only member of a herd raised by pigs, Silver uses his looping skills to wreak havoc on his previous family.
- The Ice Bird is a fan favorite from Angry Birds Space, this cuboid bird is known for its spiky appearance and deep freeze attack.
Pigs
- Corporal Pig – A green body color and a metal cap complete the look of this pig. A tough commander of his troops, he only looks to his hero King Pig.
- Whiskered Pig – A loyal subject of King Pig, this green guy is a master builder of karts and other vehicles, though his building could benefit from a few upgrades.
- King Pig – The real villain of the game and sworn enemy of the pack, King Pig commands the loyalty of his subjects. Too scared to face the birds, he sends endless pigs to do his bidding and steal those precious eggs.
