The French SVOD platform is still on the brink of extinction.
If the France Télévisions group has not yet decided to formalize the Salto solution, the French platform SVOD has nevertheless announced the color on its home page since the beginning of the week:

Please note that Salto subscribers no longer have access to pre-releases of some soap operas, such as “It All Begins Here”and “Tomorrow Belongs to Us.”
Dissolution of Salto ‘inevitable’
Created in the fall of 2020 by TF1, M6 and France Télévisions, the “French Netflix”is living its last hours. With debts estimated at 200 million euros and no buyer, Salto is poised for liquidation and then resale of its assets. Several media outlets are also promoting a specific end date for Salto. Between the end of February and the beginning of March for strategy, this week for Les Échos, or even this Wednesday, according to Le Figaro and people familiar with the matter.
In mid-January, Salto hired 42 people on permanent contracts and 8 on fixed-term contracts, and the number of subscribers is estimated at about 800,000 people. The subscription costs €7.99 per month (or €5.80 for a yearly subscription). If the disappearance of the platform is confirmed, these employees may find work in TF1 and M6.
