The fastest way to get Netherite in Minecraft

Weapons and gear crafted using diamonds are the strongest in Minecraft. Hence, you should try to make them even more durable by updating them frequently. For those who don’t know, netherite is an important resource that is used to upgrade all diamond items. Although getting it can be a tedious process. So, check out this guide that presents the best and fastest way to get Netherite in Minecraft 1.19.

How to get netherite in minecraft

Before we move on, know that Netherite is not a readily available resource. You will need to get a few items before finally getting the Netherite. First, you will need to travel to the Nether to start mining Ancient Fragments. The most common coordinate where ancient debris spawns is Y = 15. Once you reach the indicated Y coordinate, start mining with a diamond pickaxe.

After obtaining the ancient fragments, you will have to smelt them in a furnace or a blast furnace. Use any fuel, such as coal, to melt the ancient debris in order to extract the Nether debris from it. Nether Scrap is now used to craft Nether Ingots. Here’s how to craft a Nether Ingot in Minecraft:

  • Collect 4 Nether Fragments and 4 Gold Ingots.
  • Place them on the 3x Crafting Grid as shown in the image below:

After successfully placing them, you will receive a Netherite Ingot. You can then use it to craft non-zerite weapons, armor, or tools in Minecraft.

Best Ways to Get Netherite in Minecraft

Here are a few ways you should try to get netherite in Minecraft:

Remains of the bastion

The fastest way to get Netherite is to get it from the Bastion Remnant loot chest. There is a 42.1% chance that the player will receive a Netherite ingot from a treasure chest in the Bastion Remains in Minecraft. In addition, you can get Netherite Scrap from the following chests in both Bedrock and Java Edition:

Chest nameNumber of dropsChance %
Treasure chest124.40%
Shared Chest14.50%
Hoglin stable chest19.10%

Bed Mining

For this method, you will need food, armor, and of course, lots of beds. Now all you have to do is dig a tunnel and put a bed in it. Next, step back a couple of steps and interact with the bed to cause a massive explosion. You will lose some health in the process, but it won’t hurt much if you have food and armor.

After the explosion, you will see that some of the blocks have been removed. This will help you find the Ancient Fragments easily. You can then use it to get Netherite in Minecraft.

TNT Mining

This is one of my favorite ways to get Netherite. Make sure you have tons of TNT in your inventory. After that, go to the Nether world at coordinates Y=14. Start digging a long tunnel and place mines 4 blocks across the entire tunnel. Now ignite any TNT so that they all explode one after the other in a row. This will clear a lot of areas, making it easier to get Ancient Debris and eventually Netherite.
