Sons of the Forest: Do Trees Grow Again? (explanation)

As you progress with the Sons of the Forest, you must accumulate a few items in order to use them effectively for survival. While many resources are critical to survival, trees are a must. You can get logs, planks, sticks and other necessary resources for crafting or building by chopping down trees. Without them, players may not survive or advance in the game. This has left several players wondering if they are re-growing or resurrecting. Or are they limited? So, check out our guide on whether or not trees in Sons of the Forest grow back.

Do Trees Grow in Sons of the Forest (Regrowth Explained)

The answer to this question is yes. Trees grow from new seedlings around felled trees. Like its Forest predecessor, trees only grow back if their stump has not been cut down. If you clear tree stumps, they will no longer respawn or grow back. So, the best way to regrow trees is not to remove their stumps in Sons of the Forest.

Regardless, you can cut down trees for their primary resources and utility. But this process is extremely slow, as several players in the Steam community have shared (link). This left several players wondering if they would rise again. However, players who want to speed up this process can use a special console command. You can use “Regrow Mode”to increase by 10% the chance that the stump will grow back after you fall asleep.

So, you can try the console command to grow the tree faster. But if you’re looking for more cheats, check out our list of Sons of the Forest console commands.
