Sons of the Forest has several useful items and consumables that players should keep on hand in order to survive. One of these items includes the Golden Mask, which can be used to dodge hordes of mutants and other monsters across the island. Although it is possible to create multiple items, you cannot create this mask in any way. Instead, you must pack up and find him. How to get the golden mask in Sons of the Forest (location)
You can get the Golden Mask inside the same inner bunker where you found the Golden Armor. This underground bunker is located southeast of the snowy mountains on the map. But unlike Golden Armor, you need to go to level 5, not level 2.
So, follow these steps to find and get the Golden Mask in Sons of the Forest:
- First, get inside the narrow passage of the Caverns through its entrance.
- We suggest lighting a torch or using a flashlight to walk through in the dark.
- Go down the stairs and to your right find the door to the lowest level.
- You must use maintenance or the blue keycard to open this door.
- From there, go down the stairs to find an already unlocked door.
- Then go straight ahead to an unlocked door with a small sign the size of an “emergency door”icon above it.
- Make your way through the corridors to find stairs leading to the lower levels.
- Now go down this ladder to get to level 5.
- When you enter level 5, go straight ahead and turn left to find the morgue. Here you will find the Golden Mask lying on top of a dead body.
- Press the E button to select and receive the Golden Mask.

How to use the golden mask
Like other masks, the golden mask allows you to disguise yourself as other mutated monsters. There is a plausible theory that the Golden Mask represents the leader of a pack or tribe among mutants. It is worn by elite mutants who are relatively difficult to defeat. Thus, it is only true that other mutants will avoid fighting you by wearing a golden mask.
What could be better than leading a tribe of mutants and not just masquerading among them?
