How to recruit sailors in Arcane Odyssey
You can find Deckhands in almost every city in the game. As you interact and talk with them, you will see their stats and renown requirements to hire them. You can calculate the renown required by multiplying their current level by x1000 and their levels. This requirement works with both Bounty and Fame. But each sailor level or skill also increases the renown requirement. For example, if it’s a second level sailor, adept, his renown requirement will be multiplied by level x 1000 x 2.
So, here are all the levels of Deckhands and their required fame requirements:
- Novice: Level x 1000
- Adept: Level x 1000 x 2
- Elite: Level x 1000 x 4
- Master: Level x 1000 x 6
- Legendary: Level x 1000 x 8
If you have the required renown, you can invite a sailor to your crew and recruit him by talking to him. But if you do not have the necessary fame, they will say that they are looking for a famous captain who will join you and sail the seas. You will be rewarded with a unique increase in the characteristics of your ship for each sailor you hire.
When you hire a specific sailor, you can also see their offer statistics. You can upgrade them by talking to them as soon as they join your ship. It is clear that larger ships can carry more sailors compared to smaller ships. Also, if you equip a smaller ship and can’t see your sailors, it’s due to its max spawn size. Don’t worry, these sailors won’t be removed from your team.
