How to fill weapons in Diablo 4

If you enjoy using the rogue class in Diablo 4, then you need to know how to infuse weapons. Among all the classes in this game, Rogues are the most dynamic. They are agile and proficient with both ranged and melee weapons. This sets them apart from others as they can change their fighting style in a matter of seconds. In addition, the Imbue mechanic is unique to them. In this guide, we’ll show you how it works.

Diablo IV: how to fill weapons

In Diablo 4, rogue players can enhance their weapons to change the properties of their attacks to Poison, Shadow, or Cold. Charged weapons also deal passive damage and curse enemies. When you curse an enemy with Shadow, they explode on death. This explosion will deal area damage to nearby enemies. If you use Frost, the enemies will freeze. Finally, if you use poison, enemies will take damage over time. As such, the Equip mechanic is great for crowd control.

As we mentioned earlier, empowered weapons also deal secondary damage along with curses. The secondary damage depends on the type of Infusion you used, and here are the effects:

  • Infuse Poison: Your next 2 moves grant poison damage and deal poison damage over 5 seconds.
  • Infusion of Darkness: Your next 2 moves grant Shadow damage and curse them to explode for 40% damage.
  • Frost Infusion: Your next 2 casting moves inflict Cold Damage and Chill enemies, dealing 50% more damage.

You can also upgrade these secondary attacks through the skill tree to increase their effect.

Infusing weapons can help you get out of many sticky situations. For example, if you activate the Freezing Rain skill with Freezing Rain, the enemies will freeze, giving you time to launch powerful attacks. Or you can use the Frost Piercing Shot to hit the Treasure Goblin and freeze it so it doesn’t escape.
