Steve once said that you should never dwell on your accomplishments. Instead, just “find out what’s next.”This is the central theme of Do Something Wonderful, an e-book from the Steve Jobs archive designed to inspire readers to create their own “wonderful things”that move the world forward.
Jobs’ entrepreneur and widow, Lauren Powell Jobs, wrote in the introduction to the book that the best way to understand a person is to listen directly.
“And the best way to understand Steve is to listen to what he has said and written throughout his life,” she wrote. “His words in speeches, interviews and emails give an idea of how he thought. And he was a refined thinker.”

What does “Do Something Wonderful”suggest?
Do Something Wonderful features a curated collection of Steve’s emails, including messages he sent to himself and speeches, interviews, and other material such as a photo of Steve at the age of two.
“In these pages,”the description reads, “Steve shares his perspective on his childhood, his launch and exile from Apple, his time at Pixar and NeXT, and his eventual return to the company that started it all.”
“I hope that these collections will awaken in you the understanding that drove him,” says Powell Jobs. She then paraphrased Jobs’ famous quotes by saying, “Everything that makes up what we call life was created by people no smarter or more capable than we are; that our world is not fixed and therefore we can change it for the better.”
Lauren Powell Jobs, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and former head of design Jony Ive launched the Steve Jobs Archive in September 2022 as the official repository of initiatives, collections, and ideas that reflect Steve’s vision.
