Metroid Fusion is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on March 9th. One of the best parts of the saga on the modern console.

One of the most popular Game Boy Advance games of its time will soon be playable on a modern console. Nintendo has officially announced that Metroid Fusion will be available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack starting March 9th. This 2D exploration game hasn’t changed in over 20 years, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing: the title back then offered the best Metroid formula that could be offered before Metroid Dread arrived in 2021.

Metroid Fusion added some twists to the storyline and new game mechanics when it came out in 2002 – yes, that was a long time ago! -. You’ll have to fight were-parasites, including Samus Aran clones, not just endless waves of Metroids. The game also has a more linear and story-driven experience than previous titles. There’s even a Navigation Room to show you where to go, as well as new abilities to climb stairs and grab ledges to make you more nimble.

One of the best parts of the saga on the modern console.

A subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack costs €39.99 per year. Obviously it won’t pay for itself if you’re only going to enjoy Metroid Fusion, but it’s an addition to the Game Boy choice that makes it more attractive. Among the advantages of this subscription, we recall that there are also games for Nintendo 64, Genesis, and even expansions for Switch opuses. In addition to being able to play online with other players, save your games to the cloud, and access the NES/SNES catalog, this subscription gives you a good dose of nostalgia. Use without measure!
