You can find the crashed ship in No Man’s Sky in several ways. Here they are:

Use transmission mounts

Every planet you visit has a huge transmission tower that is hard to miss. Once inside, you will come across a puzzle that can be solved with a basic knowledge of mathematics. By solving this puzzle, you will get the location of the distress signal of the crashed ship or the crashed freighter.

Use Nautilon Exocraft

If you play No Man’s Sky regularly, then you may be aware of the importance of the Nautilon Exocraft. It can scan for underwater minerals along with POIs such as Crashed Ships, Crashed Cargo Ship, Ruins, etc. If you use the Nautilon to search for a Crashed Ship in No Man’s Sky, make sure you enter a planet that is mostly covered in water.

Use planetary charts

For those who don’t know, planetary maps mark POIs on the map when activated. In the case of a crashed ship, you should use the Distress Table. Planetary maps can be obtained in exchange for navigational maps. Also, keep in mind that the best sources for processing navigation maps are ancient data structures, waypoints, and encrypted navigation data.

That’s about all you can do to find crashed ships in No Man’s Sky. While you’re here, be sure to check out our other No Man’s Sky guides.
