The Day of the Bunny event returns in Animal Crossing New Horizons, allowing players to earn a variety of items. For those who don’t know, this is a time-limited event where players will hunt for eggs. Not normal eggs, but special Easter eggs, in exchange for which they will receive rewards such as DIY recipes. When does the Bunny Day event start in Animal Crossing New Horizons
This year’s ACNH Bunny Day event will begin on April 2, 2023 and end on April 9, 2023. Zipper T. Bunny will make his first appearance on April 2 and tell you about the event. Further, you can see it right on Easter, that is, April 9th.
How to complete the Day of the Rabbit event in ACNH
The Day of the Bunny event ends after completing certain objectives in Animal Crossing New Horizons. These tasks include:
- Interaction with Zipper T. Bunny on April 2, 2023 on your island. On that day you will find him wandering around your island.
- Collect 6 different Easter eggs – Earth, Leaf, Sky, Stone, Water and Tree.
- Unlock Bunny Day DIY recipes and craft items with them.
- By interacting with Zipper T. Bunny on Easter Day (April 9th), you will unlock 4 additional items.

How to get the Earth Easter Egg

In ACNH, you can get an Earth Egg by digging it out of the ground. Don’t worry, we’re not asking you to dig up the entire island, just the land that has the “Star”mark on it. By digging up the ground marked “Star”, you will basically get an Earth Egg, or possibly a Fossil.
How to get an Easter egg from leaves
To get Leaf Eggs during the Day of the Bunny event, look for them in the trees. Whenever you see a tree with eggs instead of fruits, just shake it. This will cause the leaf eggs to fall to the ground for you to collect.
How to get the Sky Easter Egg
To get Sky Eggs during the Day of the Bunny event in ACNH, keep an eye on the sky. Notice the hot air balloon flight with a gift box attached to it. If you spot him, equip your slingshot and shoot it to drop the gift box. Inside these boxes, you can find the Heavenly Egg.
How to get a stone easter egg
To collect stone eggs, take a shovel or an ax and start hitting the stones with them. Like any other resource, a stone egg will pop out of it, which you can collect.
How to get an Easter egg with water
During the Day of the Rabbit event, you can collect a water egg by fishing. You heard right, just take a fishing rod and go to the shore. Next, look out for the shadow of a fish swimming underwater. There is a possibility that the shadow is a water egg, and not the fish itself. So, use your fishing rod to pull it out of the water like a normal fish.
How to get a wooden easter egg
Last but not least, you can get a wooden egg by cutting down trees. Also, be sure to use Flimsy Ax or Stone Ax to hit the tree with it. After 3 hits, it should drop a wooden egg that you can collect. However, there is a chance that the tree may drop other resources instead of the wooden egg. This is because the chance of a wooden egg dropping is completely random. Consequently, you’ll have to work harder to look for that particular Easter egg during the Day of the Bunny event in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Also, keep in mind that all of these Easter Eggs have a limited number of spawns each day. So be careful when collecting them.
How to Get DIY Bunny Day Recipes at ACNH
Once you’ve collected the Easter eggs, you can use them to craft items for specific events. Though you will need to get the DIY Day Bunny Day recipes for this. Now there are several ways in which you can get DIY recipes. Here they are:
- Shoot down flying balloons with gift boxes attached to them.
- Interact with NPCs to unlock DIY recipes during the Day of the Bunny event at ACNH.
- Collect colorful bottles that are thrown ashore. These bottles often contain DIY Bunny Day recipes.
How to get clothes by collecting Easter eggs
Whenever you collect a certain number of eggs of any type, you will unlock the recipe for the corresponding clothing. For example, you can unlock Sky-Dress Outfit or Sky-Egg Shoes by collecting a certain amount of Sky Egg during the Animal Crossing New Horizons Bunny Day Event.
