Cruel Intentions: Amazon ordered a reboot of Sexe Intentions

Cruel Intentions was originally slated to air on the free streaming service Freevee, but it could eventually land on Amazon Prime Video.

Produced by Original Film’s Neil H. Moritz, along with Pavun Shetty, and the duo of Andrea Iervolino and Monica Bacardi of Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment and Bruce Mellon, the television adaptation of Sex Intentions will take place in Washington, D.C. and will follow a half-brother and his half-sisters who are willing to do anything to stay at the top of the social pyramid by dominating the fraternity of a prestigious university. After a brutal hazing incident threatens the entire pan-Greek system, they will do whatever it takes to maintain their power and reputation, even seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States.

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who starred in the NBC project of the same name, the pilot of which was canceled, will not return to Cruel Intentions, as will Ryan Phillippe. Note that writing the script was entrusted to Phoebe Fisher (“Spiral”, “Downstairs”, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”) and Sarah Goodman (“Preacher”, “Gossip Girl”).
