Luckily, the game isn’t all about melee combat, and you can unlock weapons as you progress through the story. Although you won’t be able to get them at the beginning, after a few quests you will be able to choose a different ranged weapon.
How to unlock weapons in Dead Island 2
The first guns are unlocked after you defeat Nikki Gutte, the screaming boss in Justified Zombicide. Once you’ve completed this boss fight, you’ll meet up with Sam B, who will provide you with a weapon in Dead Island 2. Now that you’ve faced your first zombie screamer, you can also go for the key to Curtis’ safe.
Keep in mind that the boss fight won’t be easy, and it certainly depends on your Dead Island 2 character. However, this mission opens the door to unlocking new weapons in the game. Although you can get more than one weapon in the game, remember that there is not enough ammo. Therefore, if your trigger finger is itchy, you need to keep it under control.
