Getting Rid of the Wasp Queen in Grounded

The 1.2 patch, commonly known as the delightfully called SUPER DUPER GAME update from Grounded, is now available. The new Wasp species and monster, the Wasp Queen, are only two of the many exciting new additions that this substantial update introduces.

It’s time to exact revenge on the avian menace if these flying jerks have ever troubled you in real life! Here is a guide for Grounded’s Wasp Queen.

In Grounded, where can you find the Wasp Queen?

You must enrage the wasp queen enough for them to reveal themselves before you may confront her and her flying horde. These are the wasp nests we have found in the upper yard since the recent update:

  • A nest is sitting right below the desk where the JavaMatic is.
  • A nest is found on the tool box to the east of the JavaMatic desk.
  • A nest is located on one of the roots of the rotting stump near the northeastern corner.
  • A nest is hanging off of the long branch near the southeastern corner of the upper yard.

You can find about three wasps flying around at any of these nests. Kill all the wasps, then strike the nest a few times to cause it to collapse so you may finally destroy it. Wasp Paper is your reward for destroying the nests.

When you have eliminated enough wasps and nests, you should get a message similar to when other bugs are irate with you saying that the wasps want you to leave.

To start a cinematic where the Wasp hive flies into the yard after breaking through a little tunnel, go to sleep in any bed. The large chest just next to the JavaMatic is where the wasps emerge; here is where the hive resides. Just in case, this is the entrance tunnel.

Examine the “Brawny Boy Bin,” commonly known as the chest. The Bee Bee Q Medley recipe, a component required to call upon the Wasp Queen, is unlocked through a memo located in the Wasp Queen’s egg cave. Cooking the following ingredients in the oven is required to create the Bee Bee Q Medley:

  • Bee Stinger x 1
  • Mosquito Blood Sack x 3
  • Tiger Mosquito Beak x 1
  • Sour Lump x 3

Return to the Wasp Queen’s nest with the Bee Bee Q Medley in hand, bury it inside the eggs, and then get ready to fight to the death with the sky queen!

In Grounded, defeating the Wasp Queen

Prepare for a difficult struggle before jumping into the hive by arming yourself to the teeth. Like the wasps and wasp drones, the wasp queen is vulnerable to salty damage but impervious to chopping, stabbing, slicing, explosive, and spicy damage.

You should carry weapons like the Salt Morning Star, Mint Mace, Club of the Mother Demon, and Salt Arrows because Wasps are vulnerable to salty harm. Any weapon that has received the salty infusion can be used if it has been sufficiently enhanced.

The Wasp Queen descends into the lair and locks the exit with paper once the Bee Bee Q Medley is put into the eggs, making it a struggle to the death!

The combat method of the Wasp Queen is comparable to that of the common wasps. She has the ability to zip up close for quick stinger stabs and hurl stingers at you from a distance. Be prepared to react because she can also try to confuse you by zipping around the hive before taking a fast stab.

She eventually starts shooting you with poison globs that explode upon touch. We highly advise using the Mithradatism mutation for this fight because these can poison you severely.

The Wasp Queen descends to the ground for a rest whenever you have dealt enough damage to her or after she has launched enough attacks. Take advantage of this opportunity to use your best melee weapons to land some powerful blows.

The Wasp Queen shrieks and calls the rest of the hive to her side when she is only around 50% healthy. She normally sends out wasps, but a wasp drone can occasionally appear. As soon as you can, defeat these summoned Wasps since you can quickly become overpowered.

The Wasp Queen does not learn any new moves when she is low on health, but instead attacks more frequently, takes less damage, and shrieks to call more wasps. You should be able to defeat the Wasp Queen if you keep attacking and utilize your Bandages and Smoothies to stay healthy.
