Rasmus, a once-weak and sickly young child who is now fueled by the raw energy of Omega, has joined Omega Strikers in the Pro League. Rasmus wields a glowing chain sickle that is fueled by Omega energy, and his cunning play style enables him to change the Core’s position as well as the positions of other players. How to play as Rasmus in Omega Strikers is shown below.
How to play Rasmus in Omega Strikers: A Guide
Rasmus is a skilled mid-range skirmisher who excels at prodding enemies and trapping them. His special ability has the power to draw both opponents and the core towards him, and his chain sickle takes careful aim but strikes hard! His unique skills are listed below, along with advice on how to use them.
Pendulum Swing (Primary)
- Category: Melee, Impact
- Core knockback: 1,430
- Player Knockback: 230
- Damage: 230
Rasmus swings his chain sickle in the desired direction from above. Pendulum Swing has some range and a sweet spot; foes hit at maximum range suffer more damage, therefore effective positioning is necessary to maximize its effectiveness.
His most difficult to master talent, Pendulum Swing, has the potential to be catastrophic. The Core is sent flying when you hit it with the sweet spot, which results in some surprising outcomes.
Naturally, it can also be used to jab at enemy Strikers that are circling the Core. If you see an enemy approaching the boundaries, hit them with the sweet spot for a quick knockout.
Whiplash (Secondary)
- Category: Melee, Impact, Haste
- Core knockback: 1,330
- Player Knockback: 175
- Damage: 175
For two seconds, Rasmus momentarily increases his speed by 35%. Whiplash can be replayed to deal minor damage to neighbors while the speed increase is active.
Whiplash has several applications, which is consistent with Rasmus’ idea of being incredibly adaptable. You can use it offensively to surprise opponents by rushing the goaltender, or you can use it defensively to stop a shot that is directly headed for your goal.
Death Touch (Special)
- Category: Projectile
- Core knockback: 1,550
- Player Knockback: 500
- Damage: 250
The first Striker or Core Rasmus collides with is drawn toward him by the chain sickle’s anchor that he has thrown in the desired direction. The anchor emerges swiftly at first, but as it moves farther, it moves more slowly and spreads.
Rasmus’ defining trait, Death Touch, is what makes him a total misery to play against. Death Touch has numerous offensive and defensive applications, just like Rasmus’ other skills. Just a few instances of what you can accomplish with it are as follows:
- Defend your goal by intercepting a Core shot.
- Get an opponent out of position so you can sabotage their plans.
- During a skirmish, steal the Core and position yourself to shoot.
Death Touch has a 20-second cooldown that should be reserved for important occasions, but do not be overly cautious because it has a shorter cooldown than most special abilities.
