Each character, or “Aeon,” as they are known in Honkai Star Rail, has a corresponding Path. You can choose how you want to pursue certain Path categories, which affect the fighting role they play. Routes can determine the character’s role in battle, much like the class system. This can assist you in choosing the characters for your party’ offense or defense beforehand. What Do Pathways in the Honkai Star Rail Mean? (Explained)
The Pathways are the gatherings of Imaginary Energy that the Ideals harmonize. Simply put, a Path is a fighting role that an Aeon can take up after ascending. You are permanently associated with the matching Path type once you have been linked to it for the duration of the game. In Honkai Star Rail, each Path determines their conduct and battle role. Your Damage kinds’ effects are similarly governed by these Path types. You can also gain unique skills and a stat boost if your Path coincides with the Light Cones’.
There are a total of 14 distinct Pathways, each of which corresponds to a certain Aeon or figure and their followers. However as only seven of them have currently been made available and are playable, we will only concentrate on those path types.
