If you haven’t already heard, there’s another package manager app for the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits in town, and it’s called PureKFD. This project allows you to browse a whole host of repositories that support Misaka and Picasso-compatible packages.

PureKFD is intended to be used with any MacDirtyCow-susceptible device running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2 or any arm64e device running iOS or iPadOS 16.0-16.5 (and 16.6 beta 1). This particular range of firmware means that PureKFD can be installed via TrollStore or via traditional sideloading.
The TrollStore method, if available to you, is preferred because it’s a perma-signed installation method that doesn’t require constant re-signing of apps like traditional sideloading does. Unfortunately, TrollStore only supports older versions of iOS or iPadOS, whereas sideloading supports any version of iOS or iPadOS.
In today’s tutorial, we’ll show those with TrollStore-compatible devices how to install the new PureKFD add-on manager app. It’s a particularly simple process, so if you’ve got an iPhone or iPad with TrollStore running iOS or iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1, then you can follow along.
Please note that installing PureKFD does not require a jailbreak. The add-ons contained within are made to work via the MacDirtyCow or kfd exploits, so they do not require a jailbreak to use either.
