Apple iPad Pro with new design and wireless charging expected in 2022

A new iPad Pro with a new design is expected in 2022. The game will include wireless charging, including reverse.

With iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watch compatible with wireless charging, there’s only an iPad left in Apple’s catalog that it can’t enjoy. And yet, the demand for tablets with wireless charging is quite high. The situation may finally change starting next year. A new iPad Pro with this feature may indeed see the light of day.

New iPad Pro with new design expected in 2022

At least that’s the information Mark Gurman announces in his now traditional Power On newsletter. Our man, often very well-informed, repeats that the Cupertino company will release a new iPad Pro, a device that will not only have a new design, but will also support wireless charging.

Wireless charging, including reverse, will be in the game

A few months ago, we learned that this new iPad Pro might be compatible with wireless charging and reverse charging. In other words, this new tablet can charge other devices wirelessly. Since an iPad typically has a larger battery than a smartphone, it makes sense to use this feature to charge other Apple products such as iPhones or AirPods.

Either way, this won’t be the first time we’ve heard about reverse wireless charging for a Cupertino device. The case filed with the FCC regarding the iPhone 12 suggested that the smartphone could theoretically benefit from this feature, but it turned out that this did not happen. In the case that we are interested in today, the appearance of the iPad Pro with a new design is scheduled for 2022, most likely in the first half of the year. In other words, it could have happened pretty quickly. If you’re interested, just be patient.
