WWE 2K22 Release Date Announced, Pre-Orders Now Available

WWE 2K22 has just released a new trailer confirming the March 11, 2022 release date. The game is currently available for pre-order and the bonus includes 3 playable versions of The Undertaker. A leak earlier last week confirmed that Rey Mysterio would indeed be the cover star of this year’s WWE 2K issue.

The game was scheduled for release in the later stages of last year, but development has been pushed back to 2022 to provide a much more polished experience. Even though the last couple of releases haven’t generated much excitement among fans, it looks like 2K22 is changing things up.

Among other things, fans are very excited about the return of much-loved game modes such as GM mode. It will be interesting to see what else 2K Interactive has in store for WWE fans on March 11, 2022.

For now, 2K has confirmed that WWE 2K22 will indeed feature a new control system as well as a redesigned game engine. There was nothing special about the gameplay, except for a small trailer released earlier last year, but it looks like the game has a lot of game modes that previous games didn’t have.

Some of the most exciting game modes and features included in WWE 2K22 include:

  • MyGM
  • My faction
  • MyRISE
  • Universe mode
  • Creativity Suite

More details will likely be revealed later this month and hopefully we’ll see the game in action. While 2K hasn’t had the best streaks, past WWE games have occasionally shown signs of innovation, and 2K22 could really be a game-changer for the franchise.

It will be interesting to see if the fan base embraces the game with open arms or if they are in for another WWE 2K21 style bugfest.
