God of War – PC Launch January 14th: Required System Requirements

God of War, one of the most popular games of the last generation on consoles, is finally coming to PC this Friday, January 14th. The game will be available for purchase on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game used to be a console-exclusive and only available on PlayStation 4, but now it’s part of the company’s move to PC, along with other titles like Death Stranding and Days Gone.

God of War for PC will of course include a number of improvements over the original console version of the game to take advantage of the powerful new hardware. These new features include features like NVIDIA Reflex that will reduce system latency for multiple generations of NVIDIA GeForce RTX and GTX GPUs.

God of War PC Specifications and System Requirements

Improving NVIDIA DLSS AI Performance

NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) software has been one of the most talked about technologies in the gaming industry since its launch. Essentially, NVIDIA RTX GPUs will be able to run the game at higher resolutions while maintaining high frame rates. Whereas in the past, resolution often suffered as frame rates increased.

DLSS uses machine learning [MU1] to upscale the game’s resolution, delivering stunning visuals without sacrificing performance.

AMD FIDELITYFX Super Resolution

AMD GPUs will also be able to take advantage of the new FSR visual enhancement technology to improve the overall visual fidelity of God of War on PC.

Improved Graphics

God of War for PC will come with a number of significant graphical enhancements such as improved screen space reflections, high resolution shadows, and improved ambient shading (GTAO). Together, they will provide a visual experience that is a big leap from what players could experience on the PlayStation 4.

God of War releases January 14 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game is currently available for pre-order/pre-purchase on both platforms.
