Vivo X80 series timeline leaked online, here’s when it could be launched

Vivo recently launched the X70 series in other markets as well. The X70 series includes X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus. Vivo has given up on launching the base X70. It has been about three months since the company launched a series of premium smartphones. However, it looks like the next flagship from Vivo is just around the corner. According to a new leak, the launch of the X80 series is imminent. Vivo is working on launching the X80 series in the first quarter of 2022. Let’s take a look at more details on the Vivo X80 series launch schedule.

Vivo X80 series launch schedule

The Vivo X80 series may debut earlier than expected. According to a new report from 91Mobiles, the next Vivo flagships could be released by the end of January or early February. The report also states that the company only plans to release two smartphones. These include the Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro+. According to the report, like the X70 series, the company has no intention of launching the X80.

If true, then Vivo’s flagship smartphones will arrive around the same time that OnePlus is rumored to launch the OnePlus 10 series. Both of these flagship series will compete with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which is rumored to debut globally on February 8. at Galaxy Unpacked 2022.

Unfortunately, nothing is known about the two flagship smartphones Vivo X-series. We can expect devices to continue to use Zeiss customized cameras. The devices will also feature Vivo’s Gimbal stabilizer for stable photo and video capture. On top of that, we can expect the phone to pack the Snapdragon 898, also known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, or Dimensity 2000 SoC.

The base model, which is unlikely to launch, will feature MediaTek Dimensity 2000, a 120Hz Full HD+ display, and Android 11 OS. The phone is also said to have a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3 sensor size and 5-axis stabilization. Attached to the main sensor is a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. Nothing is known about the ultra-wide camera sensor at the moment. We can expect more details to appear online in the coming weeks.
