Rumor has it that Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 12 series in December in China. The company is expected to introduce three Xiaomi 12 series phones: Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. However, it looks like the brand is also gearing up for a mini version of the phone. A Twitter leaker shared some details about the upcoming smartphone, which could be called the Xiaomi 12 Mini. According to a poster posted by Twitter user Mayank Kumar, Xiaomi 12 Mini will be launched in China on December 21st. The device may come with a 6.28-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and 480Hz touch response. According to the leaked information, the display brightness can reach 1500 nits and it can support HDR10+. The Xiaomi 12 Mini could be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC along with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of optics, the device may come with a quad-camera setup on the back with a combination of a 100MP main camera with OIS, a 20MP ultra-wide lens, 5x optical zoom, and a 2x portrait lens. The Xiaomi 12 Mini may also pack a 4700mAh battery with a 67W fast wired charger and a 50W wireless charger. Other features may include Bluetooth 5.2 support, dual Harman stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP68 certification. It will be 7.96mm thick and weigh about 176 grams.
According to the leaked poster, the Xiaomi 12 Mini will be available in three different variants – 8GB + 128GB priced at 3,599 yen, 8GB + 256GB priced at 3,899 yen, and 12GB + 256GB priced at ¥4,299.
