Xiaomi 12 Renders, Specs Leaked: 5000mAh Battery with 100W Fast Charge, Triple Rear Camera and More

Xiaomi is rumored to release the Xiaomi 12 series at the end of this month. If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphones will be unveiled on December 28th. Nothing is officially known from the brand. While we wait, the rumor mill is keeping the leaks running at full capacity. The latest leak concerns the vanilla Xiaomi 12. OnLeaks and Zouton have released design renders of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone. Let’s take a look at the design, specifications and other details of the Xiaomi 12 leaked ahead of the official launch.

Xiaomi 12 renders design

The Xiaomi 12 series may debut in December 2021. Ahead of the supposed launch, design renders of a variant of the initial proposal have been leaked online. The successor to the vanilla Mi 11 will receive a design overhaul. Its rear camera module contains a triple camera setup. There is a large circular cutout underneath which are two tiny ones and an LED flash. The camera module is slightly raised above the rear panel.

The details of the rear camera sensors are currently unknown. Rumors that Xiaomi is using a 50MP main camera sensor on the new flagship device have surfaced online. It is unknown if the vanilla 12 will have the said sensor.

There is a hole punch on the front. The notch is right in the center of the top of the display. According to the leaked designers, the device will feature a curved 6.2-inch AMOLED display. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The report also states that the device has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the device will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging via USB Type-C. According to the leaked information, the device will also support wireless charging. It will measure 152.7 x 70.0 x 8.6mm and is available in three colors – black, white and gold.
