Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus passes FCC, global launch imminent

The Redmi Note 11 5G series was introduced in China back in October with three new models: Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. Redmi Note 11 was launched recently as Redmi Note 11T 5G and globally, the phone was released under Poco brand as M4 Pro 5G. Similarly, the company is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge, which is an upgraded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus from China. The same variant has now received FCC certification, hinting at an imminent global launch.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus with model number 20191116UG has been spotted on a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website that hints that the device is preparing to launch in global markets outside of China. The Note 11 Pro Plus is a 5G device and the same has been confirmed in the database. The Note 11 Pro Plus is the best phone in the series with features like 120W fast charging, 108MP main camera, Dimnensity SoC and 120Hz AMOLED screen. Let’s take a closer look at the specification.

Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G specifications

The device features a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It has a side fingerprint scanner. Inside the phone is a 4500mAh rechargeable battery that supports 120W fast charging via the Type-C port. A full charge will only take 15 minutes.

Under the hood, the Note 11 Pro Plus is equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, there’s a 108MP main camera (Samsung HM2), an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP telemacro shooter. It also contains a 16MP selfie camera. It runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
