Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection February 17 on Switch

Ubisoft has just announced the release of one of the most popular Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection on Nintendo Switch on February 17th. The collection contains 3 games from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, namely Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations.

The trilogy follows the life of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, one of the series’ most beloved characters. The story spans several decades as we follow Ezio’s journey from young rookie to master assassin. The trilogy is considered by many to be the pinnacle of the series (Black Flag has a lot to say about this), and its availability on the Nintendo Switch is a big boon for Switch owners.

The collection, according to Ubisoft, will be available on Switch on February 17, 2022. The Ezio Collection on Switch will include new features such as handheld mode, HD Rumble, a touchscreen interface, and an optimized Switch HUD.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

These are not the first games from the franchise to come to Switch, as Ubisoft previously released Assassin’s Creed 3: Remastered and The Rebel Collection for Nintendo Switch in 2019.

In the months leading up to the announcement, The Ezio Collection the Switch had little to no chatter, so this is a pretty pleasant surprise from Ubisoft. 2022 is shaping up to be a big year for Ubisoft with Ubisoft having a few irons in the works, including the highly anticipated Splinter Cell remake.

Ubisoft will likely share a gameplay trailer for games running on the Switch soon.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model has also been a big hit with fans, but there hasn’t been much news about the Switch Pro model so far. Reports have said that Nintendo is not going to release another Switch model, but fans remain hopeful.
