Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 Next-Gen update for consoles and PC delayed until 2022, confirms CD Projekt Red

Cyberpunk 2077 may have been one of the most tumultuous launches in gaming history, and it’s been one of the most talked about games of 2020, but not all of the talk has been positive. Since launch, CDPR has done a great job of issuing patches and updates to fix many of the game’s issues and bring the game back in some way.

Meanwhile, there has always been a next-gen update planned, originally slated for release in 2021. CDPR claims that the 2021 date could potentially be delayed, and it looks like that has happened now. The next-gen update for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 for consoles and PC has now been delayed until 2022, much to the chagrin of fans who were expecting to release the next-gen version of the game sometime this year.

The current target for the Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen update is the first quarter of 2022, while the next-gen update for The Witcher 3 could be released in the second quarter of 2022. The oven is probably the best move to avoid any complications during startup.

Cyberpunk 2077 continues to receive updates and patches and looks a heck of a lot better than when it launched, but it’s still far from ideal for the latest generation of consoles. It will probably take a couple more updates to bring the game to zero, but it’s not that far off. Many console players are looking forward to the next gen update to experience the game in the best possible way on improved hardware, without hiccups, I hope.

Cyberpunk 2077 roadmap for 2021

The Witcher 3 is quite possibly one of the greatest games ever made, and the next gen update sounds like music to every gamer’s ears, and while not a necessity like the studio’s other big RPG, the next gen update certainly is. help get you off the ground.
