Steam, the world’s most popular video game distribution service owned by Valve, has revealed the best games of 2021 as measured by various metrics. There are categories such as top sellers, top new releases, most popular games, best selling VR games, and more. However, there is a special focus on the top sellers as the Steam Winter Sale is currently underway, and the top selling games list is very helpful for those who are looking forward to trying out new games at discounted prices during the sale. Top-of-the-line innovations are also very relevant for those who do not play hardcore games, but want to experience different types of games.

Top Sellers on Steam

As the name suggests, this is a list of the top 100 games that generated the most revenue on Steam this year. To calculate total revenue, Steam took into account various factors such as game sales, in-game transactions, and DLC sales. The calculation was made for each application on Steam from January 1, 2021 to December 15, 2021. Valve has divided the games into four tiers: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
