Motorola will release the first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company is confirmed to launch the Moto Edge X30 in China on December 9th. The device will be a premium offering and will be released to international markets under the Edge 30 Ultra brand. At the time of this writing, Motorola has yet to confirm the international availability of the device. However, he teased some of the key details of the device ahead of the launch. Moto Edge X30 design confirmed
Motorola confirmed the Edge X30’s back design a day before the device’s China launch. The phone is confirmed to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The teaser images confirm that the phone will have a triple camera on the back. The phone will be released in two colors – white and dark blue.
The phone will have a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor, as listed on the back. According to reports, the phone will also feature a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the device will feature a 60MP front camera sensor that will be housed inside the hole-punch hole at the top center of the device.
Other details of the phone have also been confirmed or leaked. The phone will feature a 6.67-inch 10-bit OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The 144Hz screen will support HDR10+ and come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Motorola’s upcoming flagship will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. It is said to have up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The rest of the details of the device are yet to be confirmed. Not long to wait, Motorola will release the phone on December 9th in China.
