The Samsung Galaxy S22 series has been confirmed to debut on February 9th. At the Unpacked 2022 event, the company will present three Samsung smartphones in the flagship category. These include the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. The company has teased some “noteworthy”improvements that will come with the S22 series.
Much has been leaked about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in the past. A new leak from whistleblower Evan Blass has confirmed key design details for three S22 phones. Let’s take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S22 series design renders, specifications and other details.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Design Rendering
The Samsung Galaxy S22 will be the base model of the flagship line, which is scheduled to launch on February 9th. Prior to the launch, Blass uploaded the official design images of all three Samsung phones.
The Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will be available in four colors: black, white, phantom green, and rose gold. Both phones have a flat display with a notch at the top center. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a square design and will be available in four colors: burgundy, green, black and white.
The Ultra model will feature four cameras on the back. It will have a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and two 10MP sensors with support for 3x and 10x optical zoom. The phone will feature a 6.8-inch curved 2K AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also have a dedicated S Pen slot. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
The vanilla S22, on the other hand, has a 6.06-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Plus model also has a 6.55-inch punch-hole screen. While the Ultra model will feature a 40MP main camera, the other two devices will have a 10MP front camera.
On the back, both phones will have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera. They will support 25W fast charging. The vanilla S22 will pack a 4,000mAh battery, while the Plus model will pack a 4,500mAh battery.
All three Samsung phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on the region. The S22 series will run OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.
