PS5 pre-orders will reopen on January 18th

Sony’s online store has updated its PlayStation 5 section with a banner showing the PS5 pre-order date and time. However, once customers pre-order the PS5 on January 18th, the PS5 will ship on February 8th.

This new banner on the Sony and Amazon India online store confirms the PS5’s next restocking date.

E-commerce giant Amazon also announced that it will restock the PS5 on January 18 with the same pre-order date and time banner. However, Amazon has yet to give a delivery date.

Several other websites, including Flipkart and Croma, as well as well-known retailers such as Games The Shop, Vijay Sales, Prepaid Gamer Card, have listed the PS5 on their respective websites and social media. However, none of them shared details about pre-orders and shipping.

It’s been nearly three weeks since the last restocking of the PlayStation 5, as it was last pre-ordered on December 28, 2021. The PlayStation 5 was launched worldwide in November 2020. The standard version of the PlayStation 5 is $677, while the digital version is $542.

Sony is also currently working on a subscription service similar to Xbox Game Pass, which could arrive early this year. Sony has been looking for ways to compete with the Xbox, and a digital subscription could help the company. In addition, the company also hopes to expand game sales as more and more PlayStation-exclusive games now make their way to PC via Steam.
