The Reliance Jio Next phone is available for $27 down payment, but there’s a catch

Right now, we have another big update for those who are super excited to pick up the Jio Phone Next or want to buy one for someone around them. You can purchase Jio Phone Next for only $27, although the original price of the phone is $87. This means that those who want to buy a phone but can’t immediately spend most of the money have the option to pay a nominal amount and get the phone, and then they can pay the remaining $60 in the form of EMI.

It looks like Jio offers quite a few different EMI plans for Jio Phone Next. The first plan is called the “Permanent Plan”. Users who choose the plan will have to pay $4.7 for 18 months or $4 for 24 months. At the same time, they can receive 5 GB of data per month and 100 minutes of free calls. Customers choosing the large plan can choose to pay either $7 for 18 months or $6 for 24 months, and in return they get 1.5 GB of data per day along with unlimited calls.

Plans for EMI Jio Phone Next

Under the XL plan, users will pay $7 for 18 months or $7 for 24 months, and this plan offers 2GB of data per day along with unlimited calls. There is also an XXL plan offering 2.5GB of data per day with unlimited voice. However, users who choose this plan will have to shell out Rs 600 for 18 months or $7 for 24 months.

Plans have been announced along with the phone and we finally have confirmation on everything from specs to pricing to launch date. Jio Phone Next runs Pragati OS, an optimized version of Android built for JioPhone Next, and since Google and Jio worked closely together to create this OS, there are some localized features here and there and some subtle Google touches.

Google has finalized the camera app on the Jio Phone Next. The phone can take HDR photos and take clear low-light shots with night mode and even portrait shots with bokeh without the need for an additional lens on the back.
