December 2021 PlayStation Plus free games leak: Godfall, Mortal Shell

Just like in November, it looks like the PlayStation Plus lineup for December has also been leaked ahead of time, and it looks pretty impressive. The way the PlayStation Plus lineup now works is that players typically get 2 PS4 games for free, as well as one PS5 game.

This month, PS4 players will be able to download and save both Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super-Villains, while PS5 players will have access to Gearbox’s Godfall. The leaks come from Dealabs, who was also responsible for the November PlayStation Plus line leak. In addition, it is also stated that Mortal Shell may be replaced by another game in certain regions.

PlayStation Plus lineup looks good for December

The PlayStation Plus lineup of games has been pretty random over the past few months, but this one looks pretty stacked. While Godfall isn’t quite what PS5 fans, system sellers, were hoping for, it’s still a pretty impressive game and a worthy showcase of what the hardware is capable of. Godfall essentially works in the same vein as other Gearbox games in that they’re presented as “looter shooters”but this time with hand-to-hand combat and other interesting power-ups.

Mortal Shell is like a soul in every way, but it has enough fresh ideas to stand out as more than just a derivative knockoff. Mortal Shell is one of the most impressive soul-searching games on the market and a very rewarding game that has tons of great atmospheric horror elements as well as an interesting storytelling.

LEGO DC Super-Villains is, as you’d expect from a LEGO game, incredibly fun and one of the most adorable games in the lineup. The game’s story follows iconic DC villains replacing the Justice League as defenders of the earth.
