Apple starts sending invitations to WWDC 2022

Apple is starting to send out invitations to WWDC 2022. There won’t be many lucky ones this year.

Each year, Apple brand fans and tech enthusiasts in general look forward to Apple’s massive annual developer conference, WWDC. This 2022 will have the opportunity to introduce the next major versions of their operating systems. And there is no doubt that there will be surprises. So it’s great to hear today that the Cupertino-based company has begun sending out invitations to this very select event.

This year’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will be mostly virtual, but some lucky ones may be physically present at Apple Park. The tech giant did start sending out invites to that effect on June 6th. Lucky participants will be able to follow the keynote speech and various country videos on the ground. If the last two developer conferences were purely online events, this time around, with some employees returning to their desks at least once a week, there was little reason not to meet physically.

There won’t be many lucky ones this year.

Members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program could apply for an invite between May 9 and May 11. The Cupertino-based company said it would select the lucky winners at random. And as you can see in the image below, invitations are non-transferable. Those selected must respond by 3 am May 19 (French time) or their invitation will be offered to another candidate.

Apple should take advantage of this event to unveil iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and the next version of macOS. The Apple brand could also mention its highly anticipated Apple Silicon M2 chips, which are currently being tested in no less than nine new Mac models.
