Dead Space: remake will be released by the end of January 2023

Motive Studios and Electronic Arts have announced that Dead Space Remake will release on January 27, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.

Dead Space Remake has been rebuilt from the ground up using the Frostbite game engine. Staying true to the heartbreaking vision of the original game, it delivers enhanced audio and crisp, striking visuals that have been meticulously reimagined to evoke a new level of immersion and quality. Originally created by Visceral Games, the third-person survival horror game puts players in the shoes of Isaac Clarke, an ordinary engineer on a routine mission to repair the giant mining ship USG Ishimura. But a real nightmare awaits him on board the Ishimura. The crew was killed and infected, and Nicole, Isaac’s girlfriend, disappeared somewhere on board. Alone and trapped with my tools and engineering skills

“Developing this remake has been a lot of fun for us as we are true fans of the license and want to treat it with the respect it deserves. It’s equally exciting to see how players react as we take them behind the scenes of development with us,” said Philippe DuCharme, Senior Producer at Motive Studios. “ We are making great progress towards the alpha version and are pleased to announce that the game will be available next year. We can’t wait for players old and new to see how we’ve improved the original experience in Remake to be equally effective for this generation. ”

Dead Space Remake Graphic Improvements

During the latest Dead Space live stream, the Motive team showed how the remake visually evolves and updates the original, using props, tools, environments and more to match the level of polish and detail appropriate for a new generation. Additionally, by combining enhancements such as dynamic and volumetric lighting with full HDR atmospheric and environmental visuals, Dead Space allows players to navigate through the narrow and eerie corridors of USG Ishimura with levels of…unprecedented immersion.
