Fast & Furious 10: Universal Pictures Hires Director Louis Leterrier

Louis Leterrier is called in to help take care of Fast and Furious 10 after Justin Lin’s departure.

Breaking Fast 10 filming while looking for a new director cost between $600,000 and $1 million a day. Financial pressures aside, Charlize Theron, Jason Momoa and Brie Larson are major players in other established franchises – longer delays could have further hurt an already challenging filming schedule. Therefore, the production company Universal Pictures had to act urgently.

Sources say that Louis Leterrier, who has overtaken many candidates for the position, is Universal Picture’s top nominee, and a timeline has yet to be set. He comes into the franchise with a lot of experience including Unleashed (Jet Li), Transporter 2 (Jason Statham), The Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton), Clash of the Titans (Sam Worthington) or Lupine (Omar Sy). The latter will also have to be flexible, because he inherited a production in which almost all the creative elements were already created by Justin Lin, who announced his departure on April 26 last year just a week before filming.

Vin Diesel to be responsible for Justin Lin’s departure

Sources say Justin Lin’s unexpected resignation may have something to do with Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel. It was previously reported that the director left due to “creative differences,”but according to the NY Daily News, Justin Lin may have left because Vin Diesel is hard to live with: “He’s late for the tray.”He does not know his text. And he’s not in the best shape.”If this turns out to be true, this is not the first time someone has left the franchise due to problems with the actors and their unprofessionalism. The famous spat between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson that caused the latter to leave the film and launch the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off may also confirm this fan fantasy.
