Redmi K50 gaming smartphone will be released on February 16 in China, specifications confirmed: 120W fast charging, audio from JBL

Redmi is gearing up to launch the K50 series. Redmi’s new flagship smartphones will debut in China on February 16. Xiaomi is expected to introduce several phones in the K50 line, including the Redmi K50 Gaming. The phone is expected to launch in other markets as the Poco F4 GT.

Redmi has started releasing new teasers revealing the key specs of the upcoming gaming smartphone. Redmi’s upcoming premium smartphone will come with support for 120W fast charging. Specifications of Redmi K50 Gaming

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will go on sale in China on February 16th. Before the launch, Xiaomi confirmed the main specifications of the phone. First, the K50 Gaming will ship with a 4700mAh battery. The smartphone will also support 120W fast charging out of the box. It will have an L-shaped charging cable that will help players use their phone without turning it off. Xiaomi claims that the device will be fully charged in 17 minutes.

In addition to battery and charging tests, Xiaomi has also confirmed the audio performance of the Redmi K50 Gaming. The device will have symmetrical stereo speakers. It will be customized in collaboration with JBL. The stereo speaker setup on the K50 Gaming will also support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.

The teasers also show that the phone has a punch-hole display. The notch is at the top center. It also has a flat screen with minimal bezels around it. The rear of the phone has a triple camera setup with pulsating LED lights around it. According to the leaks, the phone will have a 64MP main camera sensor, a 13MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, the phone will have a 16-megapixel front camera.

The phone is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It will have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Redmi smartphone will run MIUI 13 based on Android 12 in China.
