Today, Infinix launched its world’s first 5G smartphone in India with the introduction of the Infinix Zero 5G phone. The device was launched globally last week and now, following a series of teasers on social media and e-commerce website Flipkart, the device has surfaced in India. The Infinix comes with one RAM and storage option: 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. It costs Rs 19,999 and will be available in two color options 一 Cosmic Black and Skylight Orange. The device will go on sale from February 18 on Flipkart.

The Infinix Zero 5G, as previously stated, is the brand’s first 5G-enabled phone and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor manufactured using a 6nm process. The SoC comes with two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. It is equipped with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also supports Virtual RAM memory expansion, which the company calls MemFusion.
In terms of optics, the Infinix Zero 5G features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom and 30x digital zoom, a 2MP depth sensor and a quad LED flash. On the front of the device is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with dual LED flash. The camera also supports features like 960 fps slow motion, night selfie, and more. In terms of software, the phone runs Android 11 based on XOS 10 out of the box. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The phone weighs 199 grams and measures 168.73 x 76.53 x 8.77mm. Other features of the device include Wi-Fi 6, dual SIM 5G, thermal module 2.0 with heat pipes, 3D cooling master, microSD card slot, Arm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, Type-C port and headphone jack 3. 5 mm.
