New Zealand actor Russell Crowe will star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Kraven the Hunter, one of Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man films.
Plot details for the film and the character played by Russell Crowe (Gladiator, The Loudest Voice, Thor: Love and Thunder) are being kept under wraps. Kraven is known as an iconic Marvel anti-hero who has established himself as one of Spider-Man’s most formidable adversaries and has also faced off against Venom, Black Panther and many other characters.
Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay for this new superhero movie, which is scheduled to release on January 13, 2023. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing, while JC Chandor is behind the camera. Sony and Marvel are likely looking to build a franchise around Kraven, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson signed on to a multi-movie deal last year.
