Finally no under-screen Touch ID on iPhone until 2025?

No touch ID under iPhone screen in 2023 or 2024? Will we only see him one day?

Face ID is a very effective biometric security solution. And with the modifications and improvements made by the Cupertino company in recent years to this technology, it has become a real barrier against intrusions, but it’s hard to deny the everyday practicality of using a simple fingerprint to unlock smartphones. And, unfortunately, it looks like Touch ID may never return to Apple’s high-end iPhone, or at least not for very long.

No touch ID under iPhone screen in 2023 or 2024?

In a recent tweet, authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revisits his prediction of Touch ID under the iPhone screen in 2023. According to him, this is no longer possible. Even worse, you should not wait for this innovation with the generation of 2024 either – Touch ID, built under the iPhone screen.

Will we only see him one day?

Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the introduction of Face ID mask support in the latest iOS 15 update may be the reason for the feature’s delay. One of the reasons why fingerprint sensors are more convenient in everyday life is that we don’t have to look at the phone to unlock it. And since many people still wear masks, this would give users a very interesting and convenient alternative to unlocking their iPhone.

Either way, Apple still uses its Touch ID feature in other products like Macs and some iPads, but it’s no surprise that the Cupertino-based company has ditched it to focus solely on Face ID.
