Call of Duty Community Update: Warzone Special Briefing Update Details and List of Improvements

The second season of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Pacific is coming, and it will bring with it a ton of new content and improvements across the board. Activision recently shared patch notes for Season 2 detailing new content like armored transport trucks and new modes like Caldera Clash and Rebirth Iron Trials.

New content isn’t the only priority for Call of Duty Warzone, as the developers have shared a list of priorities for Season 2, including;

  • Improvements to all forms of movement: vehicle handling, deploying parachutes at a lower vertical height, increased player robe height, and collision fixes for both vehicles and players.
  • The gas mask animation no longer interrupts operators who are aiming.
  • When inserting armor plates, it fills a full armor plate before filling damaged ones.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone 2 Sequel Confirmed

The developers will be making a ton of improvements across the board and prioritizing Quality of Life in Call of Duty Warzone to make it more accessible and less frustrating for players. They will fulfill basic community requests such as FOV sliders on the console.

The developers have chosen not to add the FOV slider on consoles as it impacts performance for players on older generation consoles. To make Call of Duty Warzone more accessible, the FOV slider will not be implemented.

Finally, it looks like the rumors were indeed accurate, and the upcoming Call of Duty is essentially a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. The game, as well as the new Warzone experience, will be developed under the direction of Infinity Ward.

The new Warzone experience will feature a brand new playspace with a new sandbox mode and run on a new engine. The new engine will be used in both Warzone and the Modern Warfare sequel, which were developed together from the ground up.
