Oppo A16e with Helio P22 SoC, 4230mAh battery launched: price, specifications

Oppo has unveiled a new budget smartphone called the Oppo A16e. The phone is a refined version of the previously available Oppo A16. Oppo A16e is powered by Helio P22 SoC, 3/4GB RAM, 13MP main camera and more. Let’s take a closer look at the recently launched Oppo A16e, its features, specifications and price.

Oppo A16e Price, Availability

Oppo’s A16e comes with two storage options, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. The phone is available in three color options – midnight black, blue and white. The company has not disclosed the cost of the smartphone yet.

However, MySmartPrice previously reported that the A16e will cost $130 and $157 in the country.

The Oppo A16e is based on a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 269PPI. The display is covered with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display panel has a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The Oppo A16e runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box. The memory in the phone can be expanded up to 1 TB using a microSD card.

In terms of optics, the phone has a single 13MP main camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens aperture at the back and a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 lens. Under the hood is a 4230 mAh battery. The phone measures 164 x 75.4 x 7.8mm and weighs 175 grams.

Connectivity options on the Oppo A16e include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
