PlayStation 5 Next Restock Set for May 13th: Everything you need to know

The next delivery of the PlayStation 5 is scheduled for May 13, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Promotions will likely be available on major online retailers such as Amazon, ShopatSC, Flipkart, GamesTheShop, Vijay Sales, Croma, etc.

As with the latest top-up, retailers like ShopatSC are selling Gran Turismo 7 bundled with a standard PlayStation 5 for $718. Gran Turismo 7 is the latest installment in the legendary gaming franchise and one of the most popular games of the current generation. The package is a decent enough deal for fans of the franchise, but many may want to stick with the PS5 only if they’re not interested in playing.

The PS5 Digital Edition is $522 and the standard console is $653. The difference in price is due to the lack of an optical disc drive in the Digital Edition, that is, playing games from discs will not work.

The next restocking of the PlayStation 5 will take place on May 13, 2022.

While restocking is good news, getting your hands on one of these consoles is still tricky, with none of the retailers stocking it for long. Potential buyers should also be wary of scams and fake websites impersonating other retailers as there have been several instances of buyer scams.

Unlike the past year and a half or so, restocking of the PlayStation 5 has been quite frequent. Until now, stocks have been replenished every month of the year, which is a positive sign for game fans who want to get their hands on a next-gen console.

Sony recently reported its financial results for fiscal year 2021, which revealed that the console shipped $11.5 million in its last fiscal year. This brings the total lifetime shipments to 19.3 million, which is an impressive number for any console, let alone a console whose sales have been bogged down by supply chain issues and a global chip shortage.
