Poco F4 GT to Launch on April 26th, Confirmed to be Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Poco Global is ready to launch a new F-series device, the Poco F4 GT, on April 26th. The Poco F4 GT will be the company’s gaming flagship this year and will come with MagLev triggers similar to its predecessor, the Poco F3 GT. A week before the launch, Poco Global confirmed that the Poco F4 GT will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Poco Global took to social media to make the announcement.

Along with this, the brand has also confirmed dual vapor chamber liquid cooling on the upcoming F-series device. The Poco F4 GT with model number 21121210G was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database, and based on the model number, the upcoming F-series device looks like a rebranded Redmi K50G. As a reminder, Redmi K50G was announced back in February and is also equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications and features of Redmi K50G.

Poco F4 GT (Expected) Specifications and Features

As mentioned, Poco’s new F-series device could be a rebranded Redmi phone. So let’s see what Redmi K50G has to offer in terms of specs and features. Redmi K50G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. The phone also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Redmi K50G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor and Adreno 730G GPU. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. The phone boots MIUI 13 out of the box based on Android 12.

The Redmi K50G offers a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. It is complemented by an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP telemacro lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 20-megapixel Sony sensor inside the notch in the center.

Redmi K5G is equipped with a 4700mAh battery and supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging. Based on this, the upcoming Poco F4 GT could be the first Poco device to feature 120W fast charging.
