Redmi Book Pro (2022): everything we know

According to reports, the Redmi Book Pro (2022) lineup is set to launch in China at 7pm Beijing time on Thursday, March 17th. No further official details have been released, but Xiaomi’s teaser post on the Chinese social media platform states: “This time, RedmiBook Pro is positioned as updated to challenge the peak performance of thin and light laptops for your reckless love and create a ruthless character with high combat power.”whose performance is beyond imagination.”

Judging by the teaser, Redmi Book Pro (2022) laptops will take their place in the thin and light sector. Xiaomi and Redmi laptops have generally always had the upper hand in their offering, taking on the higher price segment offerings with specs. It would be interesting to see if Redmi takes aim at the ultrabook segment this year with slimmer offerings than before.

A recent Geekbench 5 report revealed that one of the laptop WeUs could be equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i7-12650H processor. The latter suggests that the Redmi Book Pro (2022) lineup may have higher performance options as this processor is a 10-core setup with six high performance cores, 4.7GHz clock speed and 45W bandwidth. The laptop received significantly higher scores than previous Redmi Book laptops on this platform, as well as the efficiency benefits of Intel’s 12th generation process.

Earlier on the Bluetooth SIG website, two “Pro” versions of the Redmi Book laptops also recently appeared on the website, offering at least three variants with a 14-inch display and four variants with a 15-inch display. This suggests that the overall composition can be complex. However, all other details remain secret for now, which will become more obvious in about two days.
