Reels coming to the Facebook app

Facebook is integrating Reels into its app, further boosting their popularity.

When Snapchat was at its peak, Meta-owned platform Instagram announced a feature similar to Snapchat’s Stories. And it became a huge success. Then, as TikTok began to take off, Instagram announced a similar feature called Reels. And since Meta owns both Facebook and Instagram, it’s no surprise that Reels will be available directly on Facebook soon.

Facebook integrates Reels into its app

For those who don’t know, Reels offers a very similar concept to TikTok. Users can record short videos of themselves dancing to songs, add various visual effects, or remix other videos to create mock collaborations. Until now, this was only available on Instagram, but very soon, Facebook users will also be able to enjoy it.

According to a Facebook statement, “You will be able to share public videos in stories on Facebook, making it easier to share your favorite videos with friends and make creators more visible. You’ll also be able to create videos from existing public stories.”Facebook also specifies that the videos will be available in the Watch tab as well as at the top of the news feed, such as in Facebook Stories.

What will further strengthen their popularity

And, of course, Facebook will also recommend videos you might be interested in in your News Feed so users can find more content. Considering how Instagram Stories has been integrated into Facebook, it’s not surprising that Reels will also be coming to Facebook. And this, of course, should further increase the popularity of this feature.

However, at present, no one knows when this integration will work. To be continued!
