Skyesports announces partnership with Riot to host Skyesports Champions Series 2022; Top 2 teams qualified for VCT 2 stage

Skyesports has just announced a partnership with Riot Games to host the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) 2022, the top tier Valorant league in South Asia. The tournament leads to the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2022 Stage 2, one of the most popular esports leagues in the world.

The top two teams in the Skyesports Champions Series 2022 will qualify for the VCT Stage 2 APAC Challenger. SCS has a huge prize pool of $30,000 (directly convertible to approximately INR 22.9 lakhs).

Skyesports and Riot Announce SCS 2022, Top Two Qualifying Teams for Valorant Champions Tour 2022

SCS 2022 will take place in May and June in three stages:

  • Phase 1: Open Qualifiers for India and Rest of South Asia
  • Phase 2: League Group Stage
  • Phase 3: Playoffs

Registration for the tournament is valid right now on the official website of the tournament (link here) until May 7 for all players from the South Asia region. This includes players from countries such as India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh.

Two teams from the Indian qualifiers and two from the South Asian qualifiers will advance to the second phase of the league group stage. They will face eight invited teams from the last stage of the playoffs in South Asia, including Velocity Gaming, Global Esports, Enigma Gaming and others.

Some open qualifiers, as well as stages 2 and 3, will be streamed live on Skyesports Youtube and Rooter channels.
