The Witcher 4 teaser teases Lynx school confirming CD Projekt rep

Ever since CD Projekt Red unveiled the new Witcher game, fans have been trying to decipher what the art that accompanies the ad means. This is an image of a witcher’s medallion in the snow, but it’s not the Wolf School medallion that Geralt wore.

Players initially assumed that the medallion belonged to a character from the School of the Cat, but after further speculation in the community, the more common theory is that the medallion belongs to the School of the Lynx.

If the name confuses players, it’s because the school is a product of fanfiction and doesn’t actually exist in the games or books.

The school was founded by Geralt’s friend Lambert, Kira Metz, Joel Gatan and Dragonfly. The school was formed after the school of the extinction of the Wolf after the death of Vesemir. The school was formed when a group attempted to recapture the Din Mar caravan from Nilfgaardian soldiers, which continued to serve as the school’s mobile base.

A character from Lynx’s school may appear in the new Witcher game

Although CD Projekt Red has not confirmed that Lynx School is canon, a tweet caught the attention of fans last night. Marcin Momot, director of the global community for CDPR, reacted to the Lynx theory with a certain “enthusiasm”, apparently confirming the assumption.

On the other hand, the answer may simply be sarcastic, neither confirming nor denying the rumor. CDPR could very well make the canon of the Lynx school and create a game after the events of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. From time to time, fan creations have been integrated into the canon, and perhaps the Lynx school may have a similar fate.

So far, the studio hasn’t revealed anything about the game other than that it will be developed on Unreal Engine 5 as part of a strategic partnership with Epic Games. In terms of story and setting, it will be interesting to see what timeline CDPR chooses.
