Vivo Y21G specs leaked to be thinnest smartphone with 5,000mAh battery

Vivo is preparing to introduce a new Y-series smartphone dubbed the Vivo Y21G. The phone is likely to debut later this month in India. The Y21G can be equipped with a MediaTek MT6769 processor and is available in one 4GB + 64GB configuration.

The phone will include 13+2MP dual rear cameras, Android 12 and is said to be the thinnest smartphone with a 5000mAh battery. Let’s take a closer look at Vivo Y21G, specifications, features and everything we know so far.

According to OnSiteGo, citing industry sources, the Vivo Y21G will feature a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel is expected to be an LCD type and have a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone could be equipped with a MediaTek MT6769 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Like other Vivo phones in this segment, the upcoming Y21G will support 1GB of extended RAM.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y21G will offer a dual rear camera paired with an LED flash. The camera setup is said to consist of a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, users will find an 8-megapixel camera and an aura light function. The camera features of the upcoming smartphone include HDR, Super Macro, and a personalized portrait mode.

The phone will reportedly be powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The report claims that the Y21G will be the thinnest phone with a 5000mAh battery, weighing 182 grams and about 8mm thick.

The phone will run FunTouchOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box and will have a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics and security. Finally, the Vivo Y21G may arrive in two color options, Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow.
